ABOUT

Katharina works in Bristol as an illustrator and mural artist creating detailed and delicate artwork based on themes of flora, wildlife and environmental issues. Katharina has created her own custom wedding stationary line creating personalised and bespoke wedding illustrations for invitations, signage, wedding guest books and more.
Katharina is passionate about exploring environmental themes within her artwork exploring topics such as poaching, deforestation, unethical fishing practices and rising sea temperatures due to global warming. She has worked with a range of clients on a variety of illustration and mural commissions.
COMMISSIONS & CLIENT LIST
- SunLife Insurance Company – Creating a mural for a large conference room to depict the companies brand words around hand written lettering using wildlife and nature to explore concepts behind the branding.
- Sustrans – A street art project working with a local school to design a path design in thermoplastic paint around the theme of local nature.
- Bristol Festival of Nature – A community street art project creating two large scale designs to paint around the themes of protecting local wildlife.
- Underfall Yard Trust – A mural on the container that contains Bristol’s spill kit around the themes of the harbour master team and the work that they carry out.
- Bristol City council – A mural on six sides of two containers that contains Bristol’s emergency flood defence equipment.
- The botanist – Street Art Branding for opening of restaurant The botanist in Cheltenham to signpost visitors to the new restaurant.
- Katharina has painted at Street art festivals Upfest, Cheltenham Paint Festival and Southville Bristol Art Trail.
- Private commissions include a bathroom mural inspired by tropical birds and chinoiserie imagery and map illustrations for a book depicting a man’s journeys cycled across continents.
