Katharina works in Bristol as an illustrator, mural artist and runs creative workshops for the community
Katharina is passionate about drawing and creating detailed and intricate work. Much of her imagery is inspired by nature, wildlife, environmental issues, food and hand drawn lettering. Mainly rendered by hand Katharina uses watercolours, gouache paints, fine liner pen and graphite pencils. In addition to working as an illustrator she enjoys printmaking and is passionate about making ethical hand made products.
Working as a freelance illustrator allows Katharina to teach members of the community creative arts workshops, which have included street art projects for Bristol City Council, Sustrans and The Underfall Yard Trust. She has also taught a wildlife illustration workshop for Festival of Nature and print making workshops for Bristol Energy and Bristol Green Capital 2015.
Katharina has achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Ba Illustration from University of Westminster and is a member of the Association of Illustrators.
